Abstract
1305256 Liquid-cooling radiators SOCANON DES USINES CHAUSSON 22 April 1970 [23 April 1969] 19389/70 Heading F4S A liquid-cooling radiator comprises a brazed monoblock structure consisting of tubes 1, fins 6, tube-end supporting members 2, and sidewall members 4 interconnecting the members 2 and bracing the structure; the members 2 consisting of either tube plates (2a) or header boxes 2 to which a box (18) or cover-plate 10 as appropriate is affixed by clamping to form a header chamber at each end of the radiator. When the clamped-on member is made from a material such as glass, sheet or moulded metal, or plastics, a seal 9, Fig. 3, may be interposed between the clamped surfaces. Alternatively, if the clamped-on member is of a material such as rubber, a separate seal is not required (see Fig. 5). The clamping is preferably effected by claw members such as 13, 21, or 22. In Fig. 3, the cover 10 is of glass and has a blind-end recess 12 therein serving as a visual indicator for the liquid level in the header.
