Abstract
1304774 Tone control W W PALMER 24 July 1970 36138/70 Heading H3W A tone control circuit comprises a low audio frequency range control circuit 5, a medium audio frequency range control circuit 6 and a high audio frequency range control circuit 7, having means capable of being adjusted such that when an input signal is applied to each control circuit no output is obtained. The arrangement may be proceeded by a volume control potentiometer 1 and D.C. blocking capacitor 2. The low audio frequency range control circuit 6 comprises a potentiometer 53 in series with series-connected resistors 51, 52 and resistor 54 is connected in series between its output and the output terminal 9. The medium audio frequency range control circuit 6 comprises a potentiometer 63 in series with seriesconnected resistors 61, 62, a resistor 64 in series with capacitor 65 being connected in series between its output and the output terminal 9. The high audio frequency range control circuit 7 comprises a potentiometer 75, a capacitor 75 being connected in series with its output and output terminal 9. A resistor 10 is connected between the combined outputs from circuits 5, 6 and output terminal 9. The arrangement of series resistors 51, 52 and 61, 62 is used to reduce the effect of shunting stray capacities.
