Abstract
1304585 Variable speed gearing POLSKA AKADEMIA NAUK ZAKLAD DOSWIADCZALNY BUDOWY APARATURY NAUKOWEJ "UNIPAN" 23 March 1970 [22 March 1969] 13512/70 Heading F2D [Also in Division B1] A laboratory mixer comprises a motor connected by a flexible shaft 2 to a variable speed transmission 4 which comprises a ball cage 10 connectable to a mixing element 7, inner, bell-shaped, track members 12 and 13 spring pressed together, one of the members being driven by the shaft 2, and outer track members 14, 15 which can be moved towards each other by an annular member 19 to move the balls radially inwardly. The motor is mounted on the base of the mixer and the transmission can be held by an adjustable clamp.
