Abstract

1304299 Packaging rolls of plastics film E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 19 April 1971 [3 Aug 1970] 25173/71 Heading B8C In a package, a roll of plastics film 15 is suspended between supports 10, each of which is formed by a panel 11 and a layer of cushioning material 12 held together by a shrunk plastics film (13), Fig. 2 (not shown). The supports and the roll are secured together by plugs 17 which are inserted through central openings in the supports into a tube 16 on which the roll is wound. The end supports are square. The panels 11 may be of wood or fibrous board; the cushioning material 12 may be foamed elastomeric material, felt, fibrous glass, shredded paper or flocked fibres; the shrunk plastics film may be polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinylchloride or polyethylene terephthalate; and the rolled plastics film may be polyethylene terephthalate.
