1304283 Sintered friction linings BENDIX CORP 13 Feb 1970 [14 Feb 1969] 7114/70 Heading C7D A metal-based sintered friction material comprises 40-80% by vol. metal, forming a matrix, up to 20% by vol. graphite, and 1-50% by vol. dispersed glass particles. Up to 30% by vol. of a ceramic friction enhancing material, e.g. mullite, kyanite, sillimanite or cordierite, may also be included. The metal may be Cu, Fe and/ or Ni.
