Abstract

1304230 Hose couplings AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO Ltd 26 Aug 1971 [28 Sept 1970] 46090/70 Heading F2G In a hose end fitting, a gland nut 22 is screwed into a tubular member 10 so that an initially cylindrical rim 23 on the nut is urged radially inwards by a frusto-conical surface 16 on the member 10 to embed into and grip a hose 18 about an insert 17. As shown, the insert 17 is received in the hose end and abuts, at a flange 19, against an abutment in the bore of the member 10 formed by a reduced bore portion 11. Hoses and flexible tubes of nylon with or without external braided or wrapped reinforcing filaments or threads may be connected to the end fitting.
