Abstract
1303421 Pigment for camouflage paint ELTRO GmbH 8 Sept 1960 [11 Sept 1959 17 Sept 1959] 31041/60 Heading C4A In an infra-red camouflage paint the reflection curve corresponds to foliage green and has a sharp fall in reflectivity at 1À4 microns caused by a cobalt pigment. The cobalt may be in the bivalent or anhydrous forms and the compounds cobalt metaborate, cobalt metaphosphate, cobalt silicate, cobalt aluminate and Rinman's green may be used. Carrier pigments may be lithopone, zinc oxide, zinc sulphide, zinc carbonate, magnesium oxide, silicic acid, china clay, alumina, titanium oxide. The substances are finely ground and then calcined at 900- 1000‹ C. followed by a further grinding.
