1302730 Torque wrenches FORGES STEPHANOISES 6 July 1970 [18 July 1969] 32610/70 Heading B3N A torque measuring wrench of the direct reading type comprises a driving means, and square 2, having a head 1, a flexible rod 4 secured to the driving means, a plate 7 pivoted on the axis 6 of the driving means and connected to the rod 4 having at least one, or preferably two markings 8, 8a and a cover 12 fixed to the driving means and having a slot 13 with linear graduations along its length. In use there is relative movement between the plate 7 and the cover 12 and the torque applied is read from the marking meeting the linear graduations. The shaft 4 is keyed at 3 to the head 1 and fits into a bore 16 shaped so that the shaft flexes about axis 6. The head is notched at 15 to accommodate freely the plate 7.
