Abstract

130,221. Brodrick, J. H. Oct. 12, 1918. Fermenting; materials for making beverages; malt compositions.-A tablet for making 2 per cent beers and other beverages is composed of an extract from a mixture of green malt and hops, dried and powdered, saccharin, bicarbonate of soda, and desiccated yeast. The tablet is dissolved in water and the solution fermented at low pressure and a temperature of about 60-65‹ F. in a closed vessel. Glucose may be added to the tablet as a binding material. Specification 15533/13 is referred to.
