1301903 Two-component pack for use in the treatment of hair L'OREAL 15 Jan 1970 2010/70 Addition to 1197037 Heading DIP A two-component pack used in the treatment of hair comprises, as the first component, monomethylol dicyandiamide either in an aqueous alcoholic solution in an amount of at least 20% by weight, or in powder form, and as the second component, an aqueous or aqueous alcoholic solution containing an acid polymerisation catalyst, at least one of the components containing a perfume and/or thickening agent, the proportions of the active ingredients in the components being such that on mixing the entire contents of the two components a composition containing 0.2-10% by weight of methylol compound is obtained. The acid catalyst, which may be acetic, lactic, citric, phosphoric or sulphuric acid or an acid phosphate, may be present in an amount such that the resulting composition has a pH of 2.5-3.5. The first component may also contain the methyl ether of monomethylol dicyandiamide.
