Abstract
1300869 Laminates AICELLO CHEMICAL CO Ltd 12 March 1970 12038/70 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] Laminated films for corrosion resistant packaging comprise films of an olefin polymer composition containing a dicyclohexyl ammonium salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid, optionally together with a further corrosion resisting additive selected from organic monoamine nitrites, polyhydric alochol esters of aliphatic carboxylic acids, rosin amine salts, alkyl amides of aliphatic carboxylic acids and mixtures of urea, alkali metal nitrites and alkanolamine benzoates, laminated to at least one of synthetic resin films, aluminium foils, paper and regenerated cellulose sheets. Suitable synthetic resin films are of optionally stretched polypropylene, polyester, nylon, polyethylene, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride and polyvinyl alcohol. Laminates containing 2 to 4 layers are specified and in examples films of polyethylene are coated with lacquers comprising polyester and isocyanate in ethyl acetate and toluene, polyethylene films containing (30) dicyclohexylammonium caprylate being bonded to unstretched polypropylene film, containing (31) dicyclohexyl ammonium caprylate, cyclohexylamine nitrite and glycerol monolaurate bonded to regenerated cellulose film, containing (32) dicyclohexyl ammonium caprylate, rosin amine benzoate and N-hexyl lauramide bonded to polycarbonate film, containing (33) dicyclohexyl ammonium palmitate bonded to polyester/biaxially stretched polypropylene, and oontainng (34) dicyclohexyl ammonium acetate bonded to low density polyethylene/paper/polyester.
