Abstract

1300522 Bipod support for weapons TAMPELLA AB OY 6 Jan 1971 [24 Jan 1970] 627/71 Heading F3C A bipod for supporting the barrel 2 of a grenade launcher or the like comprises support legs 11, 12 pivotally linked to an intermediate piece 15 which is arranged to be pivotally attached to the barrel, each by 11, 12 being telescopically longitudinally adjustable, e.g. in turnbuckle fashion. The upper ends of the legs are connected by intermeshing gear segments 25, 26 which cause the legs to separate symmetrically. Movement of the gear segments may be limited by stops 34. The pivots of the bipod may be locked manually. The legs are guided in their telescopic movement by means of a sleeve housed within the legs (Fig. 4, not shown). A sight 10 is located on a sleeve 8.
