Abstract
1299906 Reactor pressure vessels FRIED KRUPP GmbH 29 Sept 1970 [30 Sept 1969] 46293/70 Heading G6C In a nuclear reactor prestressed concrete pressure vessel, part of the vessel has hyperboloid shape in which prestressing cables lie along straight generatrices of the hyperboloid. The vessel comprises the hyperboloid, section 2, and the cylindrical base 1; the former contains the straight tensioning cables, 10 and the latter has the vertical cables 6 are the circular cables, 8, anchored at the external ribs 9. The cables, 10, being straight, are not subjected to surface friction forces, as are curved cables, and are therefore smaller than the latter.
