Abstract

1299683 Temperature indicators ULTRA ELECTRONICS (COMPONENTS) Ltd 12 May 1971 [13 May 1970] 14548/71 Heading G1D Apparatus for indicating the temperature of an enclosure using two temperature indicators comprises a container 1 to be located in the enclosure and containing a temperature responsive medium 2, a temperature indicator 4 connected to the medium 2, a temperature sensitive element 6 which is located in the medium 2 and a temperature indicator connected to the element 6. As shown, the medium 2 may be liquid or gas which, by way of a capillary tube 3, actuates a bellows, Bourdon tube or piston forming part of the temperature indicator 4 which may be connected to a recording device. The temperature sensitive element 6 may provide an electrical signal corresponding to the temperature it senses, such signal being utilized to actuate the other temperature indicator which may be connected directly or otherwise to terminals 8, the element 6 comprising a thermistor, platimum resistance element, semi-conductor or thermocouple.
