Heels.-The heel end B, Fig. 4, of a shoe sole is cut away at C by a die to fit a similarly shaped part A, Fig. 1, of a, metallic heel. The sole is attached to lugs 12, 13 by screws. An upstanding rim 14, Fig. 3, which fits snugly against the upper, is provided round the heel except at the shank portion of the sole.
