Abstract
1299317 Knitting-machines W REINERS VERWALTUNGS GmbH 10 March 1970 [13 March 1969 23 April 1969] 11417/70 Heading D1C In a warp-knitting machine, a thread store for a laid-in weft comprises discs 802' with retaining elements 801' mounted on a spindle 803 driven step-by-step. Cross wound bobbins 3, 4 are connected to give a continuous supply of weft thread which passes through tubular spindle 6 and counter balanced rod 8 to thread guide 68. Spindle 6 is rotated through a belt and gearing from main shaft 17 so that rod 8 rotates and weft yarn is deposited on elements 801 and an element 804 which deposits each loop as it is received on successive elements 801'. Clips 823 are provided on elements 801' to retain the threads which are fed into the warp knitted fabric as it is formed. In a modification Fig. 8 (not shown) the element 804 is omitted and the rotating guide (68) deposits the thread directly on to the elements (801), (801').
