1298897 Laminates CARTIERE AMBROGIO BINDA SpA 3 Sept 1970 [3 Sept 1969] 42235/70 Heading B5N [Also in Divisions C3 D2 and E1] Laminates are formed by applying a paper impregnated with a thermosetting resin composition comprising an allylic and/or unsaturated polyester resin, a graftable monomer, a polymerization catalyst, a release agent, and silica gel to panels of chipboard, plywood, fibreboard, plaster, metal sheet, asbestos-cement plates, and cementitious elements The laminates thus formed may be heated and pressed to produce the finished article. Preferred unsaturated polyester resins are isophthalic polyester resins These resins may be grafted with diallyl phthalate, methyl methacrylate, diacetone diacrylamide, vinyl toluene, α-methyl styrene, divinyl benzene, and triallyl cyanurate. The release agent may be an alkyl phosphate. The paper may be a printed or plain decorative paper
