Abstract
1297914 Spectacles AMERICAN DANISH OTICON A/S (WILLIAM DEMANT A/S) 2 Dec 1969 [5 Dec 1968] 57789/68 Heading G2J [Also in Division H4] A spectacles type hearing aid, especially (although not exclusively) for use by persons having hearing impairment in one ear only, has one end 20 of a sound duct 18 adapted to be inserted in the ear canal or concha cavity of an impaired ear while permitting ambient sound signals to enter into and build up a sound pressure in that ear. Sounds are conveyed by the duct 18 from the ear to a sound receiving transducer (not shown) in a temple member 32. Wires extend from this transducer through the front frame 28 to a battery powered amplifier (not shown) in a temple member 30. The amplifier output is applied to a sound reproducing transducer (not shown) and conveyed by a duct 22, 24 to the other ear. If desired, the amplifier may be in the temple member 32 or distributed between the two temple members 30, 32.
