Abstract
1297805 Metal spraying powder ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 26 Nov 1969 [27 Nov 1968] 57782/69 Heading C7F A metal spraying powder comprises first and second powdered components A and B mixed in any desired proportion, A being an alloy containing at least 45% Ni with Mo and Fe and B containing a hard substance selected from (1) a binary alloy-like compound of a non-metal which is B, C, N, O, Si, P or S with a transition metal of subgroups VI to VIII of the Periodic Table (i.e. Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Tc, Re, Fe, Co, Ni, Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir or Pt) (2) aluminium oxide or silicon oxide, (3) an aluminide, or (4) Mo or W. A preferably contains at least 1% Mo, e.g. A can be 81% Ni, 2% Mo, balance Fe, and the mixture preferably contains at least 10% of A. If the sprayed-on coating is to be subject to rubbing, a third component such as graphite, MoS 2 or BN may be added. A preferred grain size for the powder is 20Á-70Á.
