Abstract
129,675. Robert, P. March 3, 1916, [Convention date]. Ordnance, war-rocket. -Consists mainly in providing adjustable spring grippers for delaying the discharge of the projectile. As shown, the apparatus comprises a discharging tube 4, Fig. 1, with legs 7 secured to a guide frame 6. The tube 4 contains the rocket-propelling charge, which is ignited by a fuse or priming 5. A rib 3 on the projectile 1 passes between the legs 7 of the tube 4 and carries springs 8, Fig. 9, which are gripped by adjustable screws 10. Several propelling- charges may be used side by side, and they may be arranged at a small angle to the axis in order to impart rotation to the rocket.
