1296725 Dyeing apparatus SIR JAMES FARMER NORTON & CO Ltd 4 Aug 1971 [25 Aug 1970] 40780/70 Heading D1L In a polychromatic dyeing process the dye is applied to the cloth 15 from grooves 19 formed in a metal plate 14 by pressing the plate, the dye being supplied from two rows of jets 16 to the grooves, there being one jet per groove. The web of cloth may pass through a pad mangle after dyeing, and the plate 14 may be of stainless steel (or of coated mild steel). The bottom edge of plate 14 is ground off to be parallel to the web 15.
