1295062 Vehicle washing apparatus CECCATO & C SpA 6 Nov 1969 [6 Nov 1968 10 Dec 1968 15 Oct 1969] 54522/69 addition to 1265193 Heading B7J Vehicle washing apparatus comprises a gantry 1, adapted to extend transversely of a vehicle and mounting guides 3<SP>1</SP> along which runs a carriage 3 supporting a brush 4, the brush being rotatable by a motor 5 and the carriage being adapted to move along the guides when the brush is pivoted from the vertical on pins 14 to bring a knurled roller 8 into contact with a running surface 11, the structure 10 providing the surfaces 11 also being pivoted on pins 14 such that it may move between the dotted line portions shown in Fig. 2 for abnormal deviations of the brush away from the vertical and wherein the structure 10 is biased into the vertical either by spring means 18 or a counter weight 22, oscillation limit stops being provided on structure 10 together with blades 12.
