1294288 Wells &c RUCKER CO 19 April 1971 [13 April 1970] 25997/71 Heading E1F A blow-out preventer comprises a casing 12, packing formed by a seal 20 and a circumferential series of rigid members 36, and an actuator (a piston) 38 movable to close the packing onto a well member (not shown) or itself. The members 36 are bonded to the seal.
