Abstract

1293784 Valves SOC ANON DBA 19 April 1971 [25 Feb 1970] 24331/71 Heading F2V [Also in Division F4] A system for controlling the inclination of vehicle headlamps in accordance with the trim of the vehicle body comprises a fluid control circuit incorporating two pressure-responsive one-way valves which permit fluid communication between the circuit and a fluid reservoir when the pressure in the circuit reaches a predetermined high value or a predetermined low value, respectively. In the preferred embodiment the fluid is air and the reservoir is the ambient atmosphere. The valves may be incorporated in a single casing 30 one end of which communicates with the circuit and the other end of which communicates with the atmosphere through a filter 32. The high pressure valve comprises an annular member 34 biased by a spring 36 into engagement with a seating 38 and the low pressure valve comprises a discshaped resilient member 42 which covers apertures 46 in a radial wall of the member 34.
