Abstract
1293502 Counters H GROB 19 April 1971 [12 March 1970] 21099/71 Headings G4D and G4H An electromagnetically operated switch or counter of the type which advances by halfsteps at successive operations and de-energizations of the magnet has read-out connections associated with a bridge-piece on one side of the drive wheel (Figs. 3, 4, not shown), and carry and reset connections associated with further bridge pieces 71, 72 on the other side, Fig. 5. The bridge 72 establishes connection between contacts 63, 64 only in the half-step between 9 and 0 to effect carry. The bridge 71 effects connection between continuous ring 61 and broken ring 62 so that homing potentials applied to contacts 66, 67 repeatedly steps the magnet until the break in ring 62 is reached.
