1293431 Moulding pallets VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERKE AG 19 Aug 1970 [6 Aug 1970] 40031/70 Heading B5A [Also in Division B8] A single-deck pallet is formed by embedding a tubular member 1 in a plastics material pallet 4 as the latter is blow moulded, the head plate 2 which closes one end of the member 1 being welded to the pallet 4. The head plate 2 has vent holes 10 formed therein and may also have ribs (5), Figs. 5, 9 (not shown), or humps (5), Fig. 6 (not shown), to improve the welded joint between the head-plate 2 and pallet 4. The other end 13 of member 1 may be joined to a similar member to form a double-deck pallet, Fig. 3 (not shown), and the tubular member 1 may have an internal concentric tube connected by ribs (9) to the member 1, Fig. 13 (not shown).
