Abstract

1293103 Hydraulic accumulators SOC ANON DBA 30 June 1971 [24 July 1970] 30533/71 Heading F1P [Also in Division F2] An hydraulic reservoir for a master cylinder has a removable cap sealing an expanding diaphragm 18 on a refill port 16 of the reservoir to define a variable volume chamber 22 sealed from the atmosphere and a resilient means, e.g. a spring 26, located between the bottom of the diaphragm and a retaining port 28 at the cap to maintain fluid in the chamber 22 above atmospheric pressure. The chamber 22 communicates with a tandem master cylinder. The retaining port 28 is located in the cap 20 by a bayonet connection.
