1292580 Silylated urea epoxides FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 28 July 1971 [29 July 1970] 35404/71 Heading C3S [Also in Division C2] Novel alkoxysilyl-substituted epoxidized urea derivatives of the formula wherein R denotes C 1-4 alkyl, R<SP>1</SP> denotes phenyl or a C 1-6 monovalent saturated aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical, R<SP>11</SP> denotes a C 2-10 bivalent saturated aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical, R<SP>111</SP> denotes a C 2-8 bivalent saturated aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical and n is 1, 2 or 3, are prepared by reacting an aminomethylalkoxysilane of the formula with an epoxy-organo-isocyanate of the formula at a temperature below 50‹ C. Uses.-As priming agents on glass and other silicious surfaces prior to coating with synthetic resins, and as cross-linking agents in moisture-curable organopolysiloxanes.
