Abstract

1292436 Liquid storage tanks E JOOS 23 July 1970 [23 July 1969] 35866/70 Heading E1T In a liquid storage tank having a pair of opposed walls constructed from corner plates 7 and intermediate plates 9 welded to-gether, the corner plates each consist of a rectilinear part and a part curved about a vertical axis whilst the intermediate plates each have a continuous vertical curvature or a rectilinearly extending middle portion with vertically curved end portions. The end walls of the tank and, if desired, a partition therefor may be made up from a like arrangement of plates or the end walls may comprise a rectilinear upper portion with a lower portion curved about a horizontal axis, see Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). The tank is provided with a plane base and a like cover or a cover made up from profiled plates as previously described, see Figs. 5, 6 and 7 (not shown).
