Abstract
1292396 Apparatus for laminating textiles KANNEGIESSER MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH 24 July 1970 [24 July 1969] 36078/70 Heading B5N Apparatus for gluing together superimposed textile pieces 12, 13 with an activatable adhesive comprises a first endless conveyer belt 18 which passes through the loading station 14, at least one processing station 16, 17 and an unloading station 15, means for passing the conveyer belt 18 in increments, means at the loading station 14 for placing superimposed textile pieces with the adhesive therebetween on to the conveyer 18; means at the processing station 16 for activating the adhesive and fixing the superposed fabric pieces 12, 13 together while still in contact with the conveyer belt 18 and means at the unloading station 15 for removing the laminated textile pieces; a second conveyer belt 19 which follows the same path as said first conveyer belt 18 from the exit side of the loading station 14 to the entrance side of the unloading station 15 and follows a different path from the first conveyer belt 18 between the entrance side of the unloading station 15 and the exit side of the loading station 14, which different path does not pass through said loading and unloading stations, the arrangement being such that the runs of the two conveyer belts 18, 19 running over the common path bear together without relative movement as the first conveyer 18 is advanced so that the textile pieces are held together in register while passing through the processing station, said second conveyer belt 19 is sub-divided into a plurality of interchangeable sections of identical size arranged end to end, said sections being joined to each other by springs and preferably being connected at their longitudinal edges by means of springs to endless chains which are driven in step. The second conveyer 19 may be perforated. A means 37 for stripping the second conveyer from the laminated textile pieces may be provided immediately before the entrance to the unloading station. Preferably the textile pieces are glued by a heat activatable adhesive.
