1291674 Imidazolidinone derivatives FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 19 April 1971 [20 March 1970 12 Nov 1970] 24954/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds (which exhibit herbicidal activity) have the formula wherein R stands for H, alkyl, halo-alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, halocycloalkyl (possibly substituted) aryl; alkenyl, alkinyl, alkoxyalkylthio, aralkylthio, or alkyl or alkenyl or alkinyl connected to thio, or alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl or aralkyl connected to sulphonyl or sulphoxyl, R<SP>2</SP> stands for alkyl or alkenyl with up to 4C atoms and R<SP>1</SP> stands for R<SP>2</SP> or C 2-4 alkinyl, and may be made by reacting the compounds claimed in Specification 1,289,266 with an alcohol R<SP>2</SP>OH in the presence of an acidic catalyst.
