Abstract

1288450 Drug resistant lactic bacterio drugs MORISHITA PHARMACEUTICAL CO Ltd 29 Dec 1970 61570/70 Heading C6F A lactic bacterio drug having multiple drug resistance is obtained from a sulfa drug resistant strain of Streptococcus faecalis by cultivating by repeated transfer in presence of Streptomycin, Chloramphenicol, Tetracycline, Erythromycin and Aminobenzoyl Penicillin and then subjecting the strain to repeated cultivation in a milk medium containing the five drugs and then pulverising the drug by spray-drying. The resultant bacteria is also found to have developed, as a result of the above, resistance to Oleandomycin, Lincomycin, Leucomycin, Penicillin G.K., Cephaloridine, Gentamycin, Spiramycin, Bicillin V2, Syncillin, Oracillin, Staphcillin, Staphcillin V, Methocillin S, Staphcillin A, and Natacillin.
