1285812 Photo-electric surfacing vehicle control COMPAGNIE GENERALE D'ELECTRICITE 20 March 1970 [21 March 1969] 13705/70 Heading G1A In an arrangement wherein an earth working vehicle is controlled by a curved light path established by a fixed source such as a laser and a number of spaced beam deflectors, and in which a detector on the vehicle is made to follow the beam, each deflector is provided with a means such as a ramp with which a member 1 on the vehicle co-operates to move the detector to avoid contact with the deflector during passage. The deflector may be an optical device effecting refraction or reflection.
