Abstract

128,559. Aktiebolaget Svenska Kullagerfabriken. June 18, 1918, [Convention date]. Ball bearings.-In a ball bearing having a a race ring divided in a plane perpendicular to the axis, the edges of the sections 9, 10, Fig. 1, are bevelled and rounded as shown, the bevels being sufficiently small to preserve the two-point character of the contact between the balls and the races. The race grooves in the sections 9, 10 need not have the same centre of curvature in cross section. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also a race ring divided in a plane containing the axis, the two parts 2, 3, Fig. 2 (Cancelled), being bevelled and rounded at the joints 4. The parts 2, 3 are enclosed in an outer ring 6 which may be shrunk on. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
