1285479 Coating VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT NOVYKH STOITELNYKH MATERIALOV 23 Sept 1970 45235/70 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] Compositions for coating surfaces of, for example, artificial leather, paper, cardboard, concrete and asbestos-cement sheets, comprise (i) a rubber latex, e.g. vulcanised styrene-butadiene copolymer latex, (ii) a water-soluble glass, and (iii) sodium aluminate, there being 1.3-5.4 parts by weight of (iii) per part of SiO 2 in (ii), and 1-10 parts of SiO 2 in (ii) per 100 parts of rubber in the latex. Additional ingredients are kaolin and phenyl-#-naphthylamine.
