They be screwed into terminal sockets B on the voltmeter. or may fit over split pins. The rods D may be rigid, telescopic, or hinged, and or circular, flat, or tubular section; they are preferably insulated except at the pointed ends F. A portable resistance or lamp may be connected across the rods D for measuring the voltage of a cell under discharge.
