1284460 Carbon black dispersion EASTMAN KODAK CO 11 Dec 1969 [11 Dec 1968] 60592/69 Heading C1A [Also in Division G2] A carbon black dispersion comprises an alkaline solution of an alkali-soluble polymer in which is dispersed carbon black having an Absorption Index for dibutyl phthalate from 100 to 200 ml./100 grams, a specific surface of about 200 square metres per gram and a resistivity from 10 to 150 ohm. cm. The preferred particle diameter is from 15 to 40 nm. Various commercial carbon blacks are specified. The alkali-soluble polymer may be cellulose acetophthalate and other derivatives of cellulose, addition polymers and alkyd resins are listed.
