Abstract

1284053 Tube mills F L SMIDTH & CO AS 23 March 1971 7596/71 Heading B2A A tube mill body 1, Fig. 1, includes a wearresistant lining 9 and built-in ring shaped partitions 10 composed of sections e.g. 11 Figs. 2 and 3 having a sole-plate 14 which forms part of the lining; a solid core 17, Fig. 2, corrugated radially, and a non metallic wearresistant protective layer e.g. of rubber or plastics which enhances the lifting effect of the lining. A sandwich construction may be adopted, Fig. 7, (not shown), the partition may be perforated to reduce weight, Fig. 4 (not shown) and the inner edge 20 may be corrugated, Fig. 6. The sections may be bolted to the mill and united with each other to form an uninterrupted partition by tongue - and - groove coupling.
