Abstract

1283494 Packaged fasteners SPOTNAILS Inc 25 June 1970 [10 Nov 1969] 30927/70 Heading B8C Headed fasteners 16 are connected by tapes 17 and wound on to a reel 11, the heads of the inner layer of fasteners engaging under a flange 13 and the heads of each subsequent layer engaging under the heads of the preceding layer. The shanks of the inner layer rest against a flange 14. An outer wrapper 18 is held in place by an adhesive strip 20. The fasteners may be screws, rivets, or, as illustrated, nails. The fasteners may be colour coded by means of an adhesive coating at their ends 16b. A portion 18a of the wrapper may be removed to reveal the colour coding. The reel 11 has a bore 12 to accommodate a spindle of a canister-type magazine of a fastener-driving tool.
