Abstract
1283457 N - Acetyl - α - aminophenylacetic acid salts TANABE SEIYAKU CO Ltd 4 Sept 1970 [10 Sept 1969] 42361/70 Addition to 1258886 Heading C2C Optically active ammonium N-acetyl-α-aminophenylacetate is racemized by heating it in the presence or absence of water. The racemization may be carried out at a temperature from about 100‹ to about 180‹ C. This racemization step may be applied to an optical isomer remaining after resolution and separation of its antipode. Examples are given which illustrate the process.
