Abstract
1281914 Polyalkylene glycol compositions MO OCH DOMSJO AB 9 Sept 1969 [10 Sept 1968] 44576/69 Heading C3R [Also in Divisions D1 and D2] A composition which stabilizes cellulosic fibres against moisture comprises (1) a polyoxyalkylene glycol of the general formula where R is H or CH 3 , n 1 is 1, 2 or 3 and n 2 is 5 to 350, with the proviso that R is not CH 3 when n 1 is 1, and (2) a polyoxyethyleneoxypropylene glycol of the general formula where the sum of m 1 and m 2 is 2 to 20 and either can be zero, n is 1 to 25, p is 1 to 5, and the average molecular weight of the copolymer is 1000 to 5000. A preferred composition comprises 0À5 to 35 parts by weight of polymer (1) of average molecular weight 238 to 6000, from 0À25 to 7 parts of copolymer (2) and from 65 to 99 parts of a solvent, e.g. water.
