1281800 Door locks ARN KIEKERT SOHNE 25 June 1971 [4 July 1970] 29809/71 Heading E2A In a motor vehicle door lock wherein a rotary latch has a substantially rectangular section slot 4 and is rivetted on to a correspondingly shaped tang on a latch shaft 2, the thickness of the latch in the region of the slot is about twice that in the region of the opening 5 for reception of the striker pin 14. As shown, the slot 4 has a length/breadth ratio of 2:1, the end surfaces of the slot being convex, and the latch is formed with a step 10.
