Abstract

1281030 Cosmetic mask P S MICHAELIDES 10 Oct 1969 [28 Nov 1968] 49846/69 Heading A5R A facial cosmetic mask comprises a band 10 of elastic material having perforated edges and consisting of a wide portion 11 and two narrower portions 13 and 14, and is intended to be placed around the head, the portion 11 covering the face and having apertures 15-17 adapted to be aligned with the eyes and nose, and the ends of the portions 13 and 14 being fastenable so that the whole band is held in tension. The fastening means comprise four pairs of apertures 18 near the end of each part 13 and 14, at least one pair on each part being aligned when the band is placed in position, and a plurality of spools (20) Fig. 10 (not shown) each of which is arranged so that the shaft (21) passes through both aligned apertures and the flanges (22) and (23) overlie the outer surfaces of the band parts 13 and 14. In one modification, Fig. 3 (not shown) the shape of the band is designed to be passed over the forehead or the chin and in a further modification, around the mouth, ears and chin, Fig. 6 (not shown), corresponding apertures being provided. In the latter, a cranial strip (67) Fig. 8 (not shown) is provided to support the band.
