1280777 Feeding plastics powder CONTINENTAL CAN CO Inc 11 Feb 1970 [9 May 1969] 6659/70 Heading B8S [Also in Divisions B2 and B5] Apparatus for feeding plastics powder comprises a case 12, an auger 13 for spreading the powder along the length of the case and a depositing roll 14 arranged parallel to and beneath the auger. The feed rate between doctor blade 18 and roll 14 is determined by the speed of rotation of roll 14 and the setting of doctor blade 18. Blade 19 prevents powder 17 falling from case 12 past the roll 14 and partial adhesion between powder and roll spreads the powder into a stream 23 of width Z.
