1280502 Glycerol dichlorohydrins ASAHI GLASS CO Ltd 22 Aug 1969 [26 Aug 1968] 41960/69 Heading C2C Glycerol dichlorohydrins are produced by contacting and reacting an aqueous solution of allyl chloride with an aqueous solution of chlorine prepared by using an ejector capable of ejecting a liquid at a high velocity and sucking in chlorine by taking advantage of the resulting hydrodynamic pressure. The process may be continuous, with the reaction fluid circulating and being used as drive fluid for the ejector. The chlorine solution may be fed to a plurality of points in the reaction zone.
