Crutches. - In a crutch-head, a resilient arm - rest is mounted upon a rising and falling frame in such manner as to be capable of combined vertical and rocking movements. The usual cross-piece a has secured to it a metal frame comprising a base band slotted end pieces c through' which pass extensions f formed on a top plate e. The top plate is supported from the base-plate by spiral springs g, the ends of which are held in holes in the plates b, e or engage over studs projecting from the plates. The upper plate is channelled to accommodate an inflatable cylindrical pad h within a restraining cover i. End pieces k, l retain the pad, the piece l being hinged and connected to the cover i by a button, while a covering j of rubberized fabric surrounds the whole of the moving parts. An inflating valve v is provided.
