Abstract

1280303 Clips S W BURCHETT 23 Sept 1969 [30 Sept 1968] 46879/69 Heading E2B A one piece fastener for gripping thin flexible material comprises partly overlapping portions provided with complementary tongue and slot retaining means for fastening the overlapping section together. The fastener has an opening 20 and two overlapping pivoting flap parts 3, 4 flexibly connected to the body, the part 3 having an offset tongue 11 which is passed through a T-shaped slot in the part 4 to retain material passed over the tongue. In a modification the part 4 has a pivoting flap in the slot and in another modfication the pivoting flap parts are duplicated. In a further modification the part with the slot is attached by a narrow strip to the upper portion of the body. (For Figure see next column)
