Abstract

1,201,290. Sliding clasp fasteners. NEW ZIPPER CO. Ltd. 9 April, 1969, No. 18187/69. Heading E2S. A sliding clasp fastener has separate interlocking elements 14, held in folds of the tape by outer elements 15. The end of the tape is provided with sealing pads 28 and 30, Figs. 3 and 4, which act against the bottom of the plough 17, Fig. 3. In addition leakage along tunnels 40 and 41, Fig. 2, to the opening created by the plough at the end of the fastener, is prevented by pads 42 and 43, Fig. 4. These pads are held in contact by the clasp 16, Fig. 4, when the fastener is closed. Specification 879,771 is referred to.
