Abstract

1279751 Non-contact-making switches SIEMENS AG 22 Sept 1970 [23 Sept 1969] 45183/70 Heading H3B A push-button switch or relay comprises a permanent magnet 10 rockably mounted with one end 30 engaging a socket 33 in a flux return member 11, one or more magneto-resistive elements 12, 13 being mounted on the flux return member intermediate the member and the permanent magnet so that the position of the rockable magnet determines the flux coupled with the elements. Rocking movement of the magnet is restricted by a plastics sleeve 34, and the magnet is displaced from the rest position adjacent magneto-resistive element 13 to a position adjacent element 12 by depressing a spring-biased push-button 9, the button being coupled to the plastics sleeve by a rocking lever 36 and a bowed spring 35. The assembly is housed in an insulating casing 1 which contains a printed plate 21, coupling amplifier elements 22, 23 and pin connectors 24, 25.
