The or each door 3 can be moved out of closed position, shown by full lines, Fig. 2, with a simultaneous downward movement by actuation of a lever 14, which through a rod 13, rocks a crank-shaft having a crank-pin 11, such that a part 16a of a bracket 16 secured to the crank-shaft and engaging an abutment 17 causes the lower edge of the door to move outwardly, into the broken line position, in preparation for sliding movement. Carrier members 19 each have a slide roller 20 and a guide roller 21. The slide rollers 20 engage a rail 4a in the lowered position of the door. The rail 4a has an inclined part 4b and an upright part 4c. A pin (23), Fig. 4 (not shown) fitted to the lateral edge of each door fits a slot (24) in a plate (25) fitted to pillars 6 and 7, Fig. 1, to relieve the brackets 16, Fig. 2, of part of the weight of the doors. Rubber sealing strips (26), (27), Fig. 4 (not shown) and (28), Fig. 5 (not shown) are attached to the doors 3 to engage counter surfaces, e.g. 5, 7, Fig. 1.
